Photo

In order to develop my digital photography skills, I taught myself Adobe Photoshop by studying the Photoshop 4.0 User's Manual (twice), Photoshop 4.0 Classroom In A Book (tutorial, three times), Hand's-On Photoshop 4 (tutorial, three times), Photoshop Artistry (tutorial, twice), Photoshop Magic (tutorial), Adobe Photoshop CS One on One (tutorial), Photoshop CS Bible Professional Editon, Total Training Professional Series for Adobe Photoshop CS2 (tutorial, twice), and Advanced Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Photoshop CS3 One on One (tutorial), Adobe Photoshop CS4 One on One (tutorial), Adobe Photoshop CS4 Channels and Masks One on One (tutorial). In 1996 I became an Adobe Certified Expert for Photoshop 4.0. More recently, I worked through several tutorials on Lightroom on Lynda.com.

Illustration

In order to develop my illustration skills, I taught myself Adobe Illustrator by studying Real World Illustrator 7.0, Illustrator 7.0 Classroom In A Book (tutorial, completed twice), Illustrator 8.0 Classroom In A Book, Illustrator Fundamentals (tutorial, completed three times), Mastering Illustrator (tutorial, completed three times), Illustrator 7.0 User’s Manual, Total Training Professional Series for Adobe Illustrator CS2. In 1996 I became an Adobe Certified Expert for Illustrator 7.0.

Animation

Education includes mastering Macromedia Flash by studying Foundation Flash 5, Foundation ActionScript, Flash MX Hands On Training, Flash MX/Freehand 10 Training from the Source, Macromedia Flash MX Actionscripting Advanced, Flash MX 2004 Hands On Training, Flash MX 2004 Beyond The Basics Hands On Training, and mastering After Effects (the motion picture industry-standard special effects software) by by studying Adobe After Effects 7.0 Classroom in a Book, Total Training Presents After Effects 7 Pro Essentials, Total Training Presents After Effects Pro Professional Features,Total Training Presents: Advanced Adobe After Effects 7 Pro Broadcast Design Secrets, Total Training Presents: Adobe Video Collection from Edit to Output, and Total Training for Adobe Production Studio Premium from Edit to Output, Creative After Effects 7, After Effects Apprentice, 2nd Edition. I learned print production techniques through studying PageMaker 3.0: Industrial Strength Techniques, QuarkXPress Tutorial (completed four times), QuarkXpress Visual Quickstart Guide, InDesign CS Classroom In A Book, Total Training Professional Series for Adobe InDesign CS2.
